ROSE

Experience the symphony of Moedi Rose 2023 — A masterpiece where every sip is a celebration of unity and the spirit of Africa.

In the vineyard │Our dry-land farmed, bush-vine Mourvedre vineyards have mostly sandy-loam topsoil with well-structured subsoil on weathered rock. A moderate to high clay percentage retains moisture and provides much-needed water during the dry summers. The grapes were hand- picked and delivered to the cellar in small bins to preserve the integrity of the berries’ skins.

In the cellar │ We whole bunch press the grapes, which reduces colour extraction because of limited juice to skin contact. The juice is allowed to ferment with natural yeasts to enhance mouthfeel, while retaining an elegant fruit balance.

SHIRAZ

Africa's spirit in every sip: intertwine with the richness
of South Africa's soul.

In the vineyard │This Shiraz is sourced from dry-land farmed vineyards in the prestigious Swartland area. Shiraz loves the “Mediterranean” climate of the Cape and grapes ripen with thick skins packed with velvety tannins and colour.

In the cellar │ No oak was used during the ageing of this Shiraz, resulting in a very fruit-forward and spicy wine. The grapes were picked at 22 to 24 degrees Balling and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Post fermentation we leave the wine on the skins to maximize complexity and mouthfeel.

CHENIN BLANC

Raise Your Glass to the Threads of Africa's essence carefully woven into each drop a tribute to the heart and soul of Moedi Wines.

In the vineyard │The grapes are sourced from dry-land farmed bush- vine, Swartland Chenin Blanc. The dry-land conditions naturally limit the crop yields and produce riper berries with balanced acidity when picked at optimum ripeness.

In the cellar │ No oak or commercial yeast was used during the fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine was left on the lees for as long as possible to enhance richness on the palate.
