FOOD PAIRING

Whether you're lost in the tranquil embrace of the
remote Karoo, mesmerized by a West Coast sunset, or immersed in the vibrant energy of the city, Moedi Rose 2023 is the perfect wine partner. Its versatility shines as it complements both the freshness of summer platters and the warmth of a hearty tomato-based stew during the colder winter months.

IN THE VINEYARDS

Our vineyards are cradled by the embrace of African waters flowing through sandy-loam topsoil, enriched by a well-structured subsoil upon weathered rock. This foundation, marked by a moderate to high clay content, retains the life-giving moisture that sustains the vines through hot, arid summers. Every grape is hand-picked and carefully delivered to the cellar in small bins, safeguarding their precious essence.

IN THE CELLAR

The very heart of Moedi Rose 2023 lies in our approach. Grapes are whole bunch pressed, a method that orchestrates limited juice-to-skin contact, resulting in a gentle reduction of colour extraction. Natural yeasts guide the fermentation process, elevating mouthfeel and preserving the elegant equilibrium of the fruit's essence.

THE VINTAGE

The 2023 vintage unfolds as a season of resilience, marked by a dry and healthy growth following a winter adorned with good to normal rainfall. This harmonious sequence nurtured grapes that ripened to the peak of their potential.
